The verdict is in and Blake is fine! All that drama and there is nothing wrong. But, it is better to be safe than sorry. The Dr. was very nice at Children's as was the staff. He looked over the ultrasounds and asked me to show him which one they saw the kidney issue. I said "the 32 week" and he said "funny, that one says everything is normal." So he said that Dr's have access to so much technology now that they keep finding these minor issues and 70% of the time they are nothing. But, it is enough to make the parents crazy with worry and have extra expenses. Anyway, just to rule out the reflux he sent Blake for a test called a VCUG. It was so sad bc they had to strap Blake down on the x-ray table and put a catheter in. Then they injected his bladder w/ iodine and it was all on a live x-ray that we could watch. They were watching to see if any urine or in this case iodine was backing up. It took about 20 minutes in all to complete the test. Then the radiologist came out and told us he could not see anything out of the ordinary. Whew... That was a HUGE relief. So we went back to the Dr's office and he told us to discontinue the antibiotics and we are good to go.
I am just glad we are done with that. We all feel a lot better now!
